Ginetta model G4 Series 1-3 belongs to sports car class. Represents the "S (sport coupes)" market segment. The car was offered with roadster, fastback coupe body shapes between the years 1961 and 1968. Cars were equipped with range of engines of 997 - 1498 cc (60.8 - 91.4 cui) displacement, delivering 31 - 67 kW (42 - 91 PS, 41 - 90 hp) of power.

One of the better known Ginettas. Thought called either G4s or G4Rs thes cars cover models ranging from the G4 to the G7. Multitube space frame with a glass fibre body these cars were designed to use the Coventry Climax 750cc Engine which failed to enter production. An alternative power plant was chosen, the then new Anglia 105E engine. Later cars used other Ford engines and their derivatives ranging from the 105E to the factory installed Vegentune 1750 of the 1965 Sebring 12 Hr. car. Additional engines used were the DKW 850cc (the G6) and a special made in the USA using a 3 cylinder SAAB.
